Scholarship opportunities

We offer scholarships throughout the year for women entering STEM fields.

We are committed to supporting women entering STEM fields by awarding scholarships and creating networking opportunities. Scholarships are awarded to young women from diverse backgrounds, focusing on STEM and environmental studies. We are primarily focusing our efforts on women in disadvantaged communities. To-date, we’ve awarded $14,940. See our past recipients!

Available scholarships

For 2026, we’ve introduced a brand new opportunity – Marketa’s Celebration and Walk Scholarship! In addition, we are again offering three Marketa’s Journey High School Scholarships and three Attracting Women into Engineering Scholarships. Details are provided below.

Marketa’s Celebration and Walk Scholarship

This is a $1,000 scholarship supporting women entering the engineering field. It will be awarded during the 5th Annual Marketa’s Journey Memorial Walk on 4/18/2026.

Apply by 3/15/2026. The application criteria are:

Identify as a woman
Graduating high school senior
Pursuing engineering/environmental studies in college

Attracting Women into Engineering Scholarships

Marketa’s Journey is offering three (3) scholarships for the AWE Summer Program (Attracting Women into Engineering) at Rowan University.

The AWE program is open to Middle School girls (2025-2026 school year). Students participate in hands-on projects, exciting demos, and tours of real engineering labs. This four-day, non-residential workshop empowers girls to explore diverse engineering paths and discover their potential to shape the future.
